Full Moon Gratitude @ Port Dickson

So on 5th of May, which is the Wesak Day too. We had super moon. Very round very big. Very powerful also.

On that day itself i went for Full Moon Gratitude held at 5th miles Beach Road in Port Dickson.

I was late to the beach because busy looking for a decent Hotel. I managed to get a good and clean and very very new hotel. The hotel name is called E-Hotel. I would like to give a superb rate to the staff for their superb service!!! The room interior is modern and simple but convenient and the design is space-saving. The room rate is very reasonable as well.

When i reached the beach. All the people were there already. Guru has already drawn a divine picture on the sand. He was circling around our body, one by one, using an item with fire on. After clearing up the queue, he asked all of us to go deeper into the sea and to get close to him. Then all of us chanting "OM" for multiple times until Guru asked us to stop chanting.

After the chanting session, Guru asked us to get ready to dip into the sea water. We were standing still, dipped into the sea water and then quickly dipped out from the sea water for many many rounds while Guru was chanting or saying some prayers. We repeated the dip-in, dip-out process until Guru asked us to stop. My understanding is that this process is to clean ourselves.

Next each of us got from Guru a paper made lotus with candle on it, one by one we were carrying the paper made lotus ,walking towards the sea, saying our gratitude to the Sea God, putting the paper made lotus into the sea. As the paper made lotus was floating on the sea water, we were granting our wishes. We could grant as many wishes as possible, but remember, we must DARE to own these wishes. On this day, our wishes will manifest via the sea with the help from the SuperMoon.

That's the end of the whole Full Moon Gratitude process. According to Guru, he has been doing that for many years, and it has been very effective.

I went for a Chakra Cleansing session

I am lucky enough to have Guru to help provide a free Chakra cleansing. The purpose of doing Chakra cleansing is to clear the blocked Chakras to make sure Chakras are always in balance state. According to Guru, balance Chakra will help oneself to transform into a better person to live a happy life. But still i must stop thinking on negative things to avoid Chakras get blocked again.

On one Saturday morning i went for the Chakra cleansing. Guru asked to bring along 7 limes, 2 packets of rock salt and some flowers. Thanks to my friend's sister for helping me to get all these stuff from Pasar Pagi. Without her help i do not think i was able to get all those stuff in such a short time because the night before only i decided to go for the session.

Guru first gave me a plate of ginger powder, asked me to mix rock salt with it. He then cut a small hole on 3 limes. Then he was holding each lime at one time, pressing the lime on my Crown Chakra, then started rubbing from Crown Chakra till the end of the spinal cord. He repeated the process for a few times. Then he applied the mixed stuff from rock salt and ginger powder to my 7 Chakras respectively. During the process he kept chanting. After Guru finished with all the limes, he asked me to take bath with a pale of water. The water is full of flowers and it was mixed with lime juices. After i finished the water in the pale, i continued to shower myself.

The next thing is Guru was smoking my whole body using Kemenyan. Then he invited me to the prayer room where he was using some special tools to test if all my chakras were already balanced. Guru asked me to express gratitude to the Divine. In the prayer room i asked him a lot of questions regarding life.

Upon leaving the prayer room, Guru asked me to donate some money to the center. The figure does not matter, he said i can even donate as little as 1MYR because the purpose of asking me to donate money is so that i could exchange energy with ?

The whole session spent around an hour. After the session, nothing special to talk about, the whole day itself was like any normal days. However the next morning i woke up finding lots of blood in my mouth. I spit the blood out and found it was sticky like phlegm. Then at center i asked Guru if what was that and he told me that it means some bloody incidents was just resolved.

Lastly, i would like to share with you guys one technique taught by Guru, that each time before we enter our house, we should wash our heel to make sure that we will not bring along evil energy back into our house. The evil energy is always attached to the heel.

Compilation of supernatural TRUE incidents

1) Everyday he sees 'micro' things such as bacteria or virus. That's why he could not eat anything. He is becoming more and more skinny.

2) While she was still young, she was staying in a palm estate. She always saw a flying object with human face smiling at her at home. The 'thing' did not harm her, instead IT would just flew away in smoke form.

3) He was sleeping at that abandoned house. He chose that house rather than hotel because the house was located within the school's compound, the place where he worked. In the midnight, strange foot-steps sound awakened him and the sound went off very soon. Luckily the foot-steps were actually going towards the other direction than his room. The subsequent 2 weeks he was awakened by that sound every night.

4) He was carrying joss sticks to the graveyard from home. He noticed there was one empty slot. There is one big tree beside that piece of land. He approached the land and he was shivering suddenly. Immediately he knew this was what his late mom wanted. He quickily kneed down on the ground and asked his sister to flip 2 coins for 3 times and the coins showed the same side 3 times in a row! Hence decision made.

5) The x day at his mom's funeral, he 'saw' a monk with long black beard, in white frock, carrying his mom gently, rising obliquely high up to the sky.

6) He was resting on his sofa. Then his friend showed up in front of him. "Friend, i am here to bid farewell to you, take care", his friend said. Then he awoke. It happened so fast that as if the communication channel for two of them was brainwave! Two week later, he got a news that his friend had passed away.

7) He was driving. Out of a sudden he 'saw' one huge Buddha status dropping on him. Then nothing happened. The next day, after his car passing along a long winding cliff road, he finally reached his destination. He then took a nap. Loud noise awakened him. Oh, his car's tyres got punctured.

8) "In the name of the Lord, i command you to leave her body now!" He shouted. Then he saw a toad jumping out from the lady's mouth and she started crawling on the ground like a snake. He kicked the lady non stop till she became conscious again.

9) One by one he forced em out saying "please let go and leave...". Some of em were crying like baby. Some of em refused to surrender and leave. Some of them got "enlightened" and left. Those who left kept thanking him. So you can hear she said "Thank you, Thank you" again and again. Each "Thank you" represents one of em.

Malaysia's pride - K.S. Pua 潘健成

He is a Malaysian. He was grown up in Malaysia. After high school he furthered his study in Taiwan. He later became one of the founders of Phison(Taiwan)群联 which claims to be the first company to invent "Pen Drive".

I was listening to interview session with Pua on AiFm today from 7pm - 7.40pm. From the way he was speaking, i found out that he is really a tough guy with very very strong mind. He is those passionate and aggressive kind of guy who speaks so fast and clear and with full confidence. I can feel that his brain keeps spinning fast all the time. Therefore, i think it is not just by luck that he has succeeded his career in Taiwan, really.

For those who wish to listen to Pua's philosophy & success story, just listen to AiFm on every Wednesday from 7pm - 7.40pm. I think there are a few more sessions with Pua.

Pua is really a anak Malaysia who makes Malaysia proud! Inilah semangat Malaysia Boleh!

Gross Domestic Product - GDP

I came across this joke about GDP from today's Nanyang Siang Pau. (Nanyang Business Journal, 南洋商报). The story is roughly like below:

Two economists A & B were paying a visit to their sensei/master who is a well known economist.

On their way, they saw a pile of dogshit on the road. A told B that he was willing to offer B 50 million bucks if B eats the dogshit. Ok B really ate the dogshit and took the 50 million bucks. Then they continued their journey.

After a while, they saw another pile of dogshit again. This time B told A if A eats the dogshit B will return the 50 million bucks to A. A actually a bit regretted giving out his 50 million bucks to B early on and so he took this chance to get back his 50 million bucks by finishing up the dogshit.

Then they continued their journey. After several thoughts they started to realize they actually gained nothing but dogshit in their stomach. They were crying loud, and at that time they had already reached their master's house.

After listening to their stories their master was screaming with excitement: "100 million! 100 million! You two have ust contributed 100 million to our nation's GDP!!! "

Here is the formula of GDP which is taken from Wikipedia:

GDP = private consumption + gross investment + government spending + (exports − imports)

So i think the 100 million bucks from the above story is referring to "private consumption". Hahaha.

I once read about an economist from the United States said that(I could not remember that well) "to grow a nation's GDP (or to boost up a nation's economy), give money to someone to dig a hole on the road, and then offer money to another person to patch the hole up". Hahaha.

Frankly speaking, i think GDP's should be quite reliable else it will not be a universal key indicator to a nation's economic strength.

Year 2012 again

Finally a movie about year 2012 is made. The movie talks about year 2012 is the end of the world.

There is a saying that in year 2012 Sun's magnetic pole will swap and hence affects earth's magnetic pole. Some more Earth's magnetic pole is changing all the time. Also Sun will be aligned with Earth in year 2012. Sun's sunspot will be very active at that moment and may cause some impact to the Earth. This was mentioned in the movie "Knowing".

The most famous prediction about year 2012 is the end of the world is coming from Maya civilization. Besides that Isaac Newton also predicted that year 2012 is going to be the end of the world.

Why do we need to trust Maya so much? It is because many evidences showing that they might actually be some advanced civilization race migrated to earth from another planet which position is in between Earth and Venus.

If year 2012 is really the end of the world. Let's start enjoying now. Do not work so hard, do not pursue money. Just try to spend more time with the one you love.

One year already!!

Time flies. It has been one year already since i joined this company in KL. Also it is my 1 year in KL.

I have been working on ESB/SOA stuff since day 1. Back then i was really blur of all these queue/web services/broker/adapter stuff as i was from web development background. I am glad that i was given the chance to get exposed to this area. Thanks to the support from my colleagues. They are really great!

Since i am doing integration job, i often have to liaise with a few parties. Hence the interaction between me and them is quite important. The communication between me and them has to be effective to ensure that i am able to deliver the right solution as according to what business users need. This part has troubled me a lot. I think i still have much space for improvement in this area. Perhaps i need to take some psychology course. Hahaha.

I am quite lucky to witness the outsourcing process. My client - a telco company has outsourced its IT department to my company some time back. Things have turned quite messy at the first few months after the outsourcing. For example my project manager has changed 4 times in 3,4 months time and the process is no longer as clear as the one before the outsourcing. Fortunately i can see things are getting stable now.

Just looking forward to learn more things as long as i have not left this company. I hope can get high pay with minimum workload. Hahaha.

Ai FM's DJ was crying over Yasmin Ahmad's death

I was driving back to KL from my hometown. I was listening to Ai FM(a mandarin radio) as usual. 10.05pm was DJ Ji An's programme. He was talking about a lot of things about Yasmin Ahmad because he invited Yasmin Ahmad a few times to his programme as guest. I think after a few times Yasmin Ahmad was invited they became some sort of close friends. Well at first his tone was still calm but suddenly he burst into tears. I guess that was really a sad moment for him when Kak Yasmin passed away. So from 10.05pm to 12pm DJ Ji An was replaying all the programs that he had invited Yasmin Ahmad as his guest.

The 2 hours was a nice one. Yasmin Ahmad was really anak Malaysia yang betul-betul membuat movie untuk semua Malaysian. It's a great loss for us Malaysian that Yasmin Ahmad could not produce more touching TV advertisements & movies anymore.

Now i do not hate PLUS so much...

I was quite surprised that PLUS did actually respond to my complaint! See below:

From: Customer Relationship Mgmt Department
To: cheetat_3456@yahoo.com
Cc: Husni Bin Md Yusuf ; Rosli Bin Abdul Manan

Subject: PLEASE HELP ME AS A PLUS USER!

Our ref. : CRM/00926/AD-COR

Dear Sir,

First of all, we welcome and thank you for your feedback via e-mail with regard to the above.

We are sorry to learn of the unfortunate experience that you are facing while travelling along PLUS Highway due to traffic congestion along the strecth from Pedas Linggi to Nilai on 7/6/09.

Based on our investigation and record, there are a few reasons were contributed to the heavy congestion along the strecth as follows:

1. Heavy traffic entering the highway during Public Holiday and weekend i.e 6/6/09 falls on Saturday cum Agong Birthday (Public Holiday) and 7/6/09 falls on Sunday.

2. There is a climbing area at Km 265.6 NB and a slip road (ingress and egress) to Seremban Rest and Service Area (RSA).

3. Slow moving vehicles had caused back flow all the way to Nilai especially at the climbing area and slip road to Seremban RSA NB.

In view of the above, for an immediate solution we have mobilised an additional Plusronda team to monitor the traffic flow and ensure that no obstruction along the strecth especially during Public Holiday and weekend (Friday to Sunday). On top of that we are now in the midst of discussion with Malaysian Highway Authority (MHA) and Government of Malaysia to look for a permanent solution to the above problems in due course.

We hope that you would satisfy with the above explanation and we are really appreciate for your invaluable feedback.

"Thank you for traveling with PLUS!"

Best regards,

Customer Relationship and Marketing Dept.

PLUS Expressways Berhad

HCR2746

Hi guys, As a user of PLUS expressway, i am really disappointed with the poor management of PLUS on the traffic congestion. I am expecting to enjoy the value of the amount that i have paid for PLUS to use the north-south expressway! I frequently take PLUS north south expressway to go to KL from Simpang Empat toll. I always face problem such that the traffic is congested over the long stretch from Pedas Linggi to Nilai/Pajam/Sepang toll and I notice that the traffic will always go smooth after the Nilai/Pajam/Sepang toll. This shows that actually the north south expressway is able to handle the heavy volume of vehicles! I am urging you to find out what causes the jam or slowdown on Nilai/Pajam/Sepang toll and also please improve this! Your help is very much appreaciated by every PLUS users! Cheers, Disappointed PLUS user

Please be advised that we have changed our email domain from @plus.com.my to @plus.uemnet.com beginning 1 July 2008.
For enquiries, please contact our Corporate Communication Department or MIS Department at 03-76664666.

How do we measure a company's financial status?

Came across this article online. I am going to try if it is really a good one. This tip is quite useful for us to identify a good company provided it is really accurate :P. Anyway it looks like the index is subjective to every country.

Finally i am working on 2nd project!!!

Finally i have a chance to work on 2nd project after joining this company.

The first one has gone for production and it is being supported by the production support team now. Anyway there are several environment issues occurring recently. I want to help them but too bad i am involved in new project already.

To be accurate it is not my 2nd project, but 3rd one. I was involved in a 3 days proof of concept anyway and that gave me a terrible nightmares. It was a typical last minute project which everyone in the team had to work extra time! It is about to build a portal for a telecommunications client.

Now one weird thing of the WBIA running on production is that sometimes the message will be processed twice! This creates a false impression to users of the telco company that the account registration process just fails! The production support team should be quite tension right now of this issue. I think it has something to do with the configuration anyway that why certain XML message is processed twice. Why it is routed back to the adapter again!

Also today i have learned how to upload a WSDL file to DataPower and do a testing today! My teammate said basically we can replace the whole DataPower team after we learned how to configure the WSDL at DataPower. That's funny!

Human's gene is older than earth!!!???

Human gene is really older than the earth? This is something interesting!

Are we really from other planet?

The old civilization such as Maya and etc. produced a lot of funny puppets that look like alien! They have wings and "ariel", they wear eye mask or some funny helmet!

There is a statue showing that a birdman doing acupunture to a patient! This status was discovered during Han dynasty of China! It was claimed the first ever tutorial for Chinese acupuncture!

Monarchy again!

Well, i see the ugly side of the kings again...

Where do kings get money from? From the government! Where do government get money from? From the people!!!

What now? Kings deserve a good service whereas people have to treat them like something majestic? The government have to grant them special status ? What is this? They are just some normal human being who are so lucky to be born in royal family!!!

What do they care first? It's about themselves! They want to protect their statuses, their fortune and everything. Hence they do not need to care about people. Sometimes they will do some trick to show people that they still have power and they deserve to be respected!!!

Monarchy is something terrible. It is 21st century now and yet these ancient system still exists! This is not tolerable at all!

Come on, let's kick Monarchy out!!!

Human used to live with dinosaurs?

There has been a lot of evidences that human might have lived with dinosaurs in ancient time. That's pretty interesting!

All evidences were found from ancient paintings such as human riding on creatures that look like dinosaurs and etc.

Also, it is believed that in ancient China there was dragon! The dragon has 9 children. Each child possess different outlook and characteristics! For e.g. some of them like eating very much, some of them like drinking very much, some of them like fire very much, some of them like fighting very much and so on. Now some scholars said that these 9 children of dragon are most likely dinosaurs!

In one ancient China scripture "Shan Hai Jing" (山海经) even talks about dragon transport for human! These saying matches some legends that ancient emperors of China normally travelled by riding on dragons!

Also, a lot of Chinese ancient legends are strange to modern people like us. For e.g. there is a saying that Dragon is actually a spaceship. It spits fire, it has scale, it can fly! Does not it sound like spaceship? The fire to push spaceship forward, its scale to cool its body down, and it flies!

Well all these are yet to be proved with more supporting archeological findings!

Terrible Project, Terrible Day

Bad news hit me last Thursday, i would have to help out in a Proof of Concept(POC) project for a famous Telco company in Malaysia!

I went to the meeting place in the morning. Met with new teammates. Obviously everyone was still trying to adapt to this adhoc situation.

On the first day, I was spending the whole day getting help from a few experts to set up the development and testing environment. They helped me to install IBM Websphere Portal Server, IBM Rational Software Architect for Websphere and etc. All these are resource hungry giants. They made the computer to run so slow! Also, in order to make sure i am developing on the same environment, they migrated their Virtual Machine Image to another laptop that has higher spec than my computer.

I started building simple stuff the second day. After several trials and errors, i managed to build and test run the first portlet! This is my first ever portlet that i built in my life! I was excited and i thought mission completed. Well, demand is never enough. I was assigned a few more tasks and my attendence was expected the next day.

On Friday the POC initiator expected to wrap up everything so that the sales team is able to present a nice thing to the potential client! I was thinking things were done so hurrily the quality will surely does not meet client's expectation. In the end i managed to built 4 portlets: some with static data, some queries data from the DB2 database. During the migration of my war file to the core laptop which one of the technical sales guy is going to use to present to the client, i was facing some database connection issue. Well that was easily solved. After that i was asked to enhance the UI on the portlet. Man! what is this! The scope of work will never end?! It's too much!

I kept quiet and finally completed my tasks at 2am in the morning. After that the technical sales guy was able to ping from A machine's VM to B machine's VM! Double good news! He said i stayed to help and that boost his morale and actually i did not find out the solution. It's him who found it.

I learnt a lot of things in this POC project. I learned how to use Rational Software Architect for Websphere to build portlet. I learned how to deploy a portlet using Websphere Portal Server. Also i have explored a few good features in the WPS. I also learned a lot of things on Virtual Machine. The idea of using Virtual Machine is cool. The Virtual Machine helps each developer to counter the barrier of different development & testing environment. It can reduce unexpected events especially due to environment setup when you are demoing your application to your client!

My teammates also shared some valuable stories with me. For e.g. the technical sales guy told me this is also his worst ever project in our company. Normally some other POC projects are simple. I was considered very unfortunate to get involved in this.

Anyway, i don't really like this kind of ad-hoc call up for help. I hope this is my first time and last time doing this shit. At least please tell me one week earlier, and also let me know the overall plan so that i can get ready.

I still prefer a plan. Hurry can't help win a client.

Production Rolleout on Fire

Following the unsuccessful production rollout for WBIA for Kenan on December 2008, the client has put a more business knowledge rich human resource to verify the screwed-up production data. Also she has informed me what to change and what not to change. I have also fixed the problem where a 'dynamic' database connection is not 'cached'.

This morning we reached office before 6am. I packed for McDonald's big breakfast. So far no bad news. I think this time the production rollout will go very well.
