My First English Poem

When I see Sufi, I see Zen
When I see Zen, I see the Presence
When I embrace the Presence
I see no religion
What do I see?
I only see God

New Generation of Modern Chinese Malaysian

I came across a Facebook post of a friend's friend as follows:

I lecture in different private colleges/universities that are predominantly run by Chinese and attend by Chinese. But in one such institution I have the privilege to teach a group of MARA scholars. This group of MARA students, many of them came from not so rich family and to be able to get scholarship to go to the US to further their studies is a great opportunity that they wouldn't have if they are left alone without any government assistance.

Now I am not here to talk about NEP or Bumiputra rights or racial discrimination etc. What I want to point out is the attitude these MARA students have compare to the group of Chinese students who come from a wealthy background. These MARA students are serious with their studies because if they don't get the grades required, they will lose their scholarship. They are diligent, hardworking, attend my class regularly, and do their work without complaining. Because of their religious up bringing, they respect me as their lecturer and elder and they produce quality work.
Come back to the Chinese students, because they don't really need to maintain a certain grade point average (their parents will be there to support them no matter what) plus growing up in a well to do family, they basically behave like the world has owe them everything. They complain just because the lecturer refuses to give them one extra mark for them to get an "A" (which they don't really deserve one), produce mediocre work, missing classes, and rude to lecturer (I guess may be their parents allow them to answer them back rudely).

I have two points here. Whatever the scholarship or financial assistance the government is giving to the Malays, they are generally (notice I say generally) given to well deserve Malay students. And it is a joy to have them in my class.

As for the Chinese students in my class, many of them are good students and really enjoy having them in my class.

But many of them are also spoiled to the bones. I don't blame them. I blame it on their parents. I have no idea why modern Malaysian Chinese parents have totally lost control of their children. They are so afraid of offending their children and saying "no" or "cannot" is something absolutely haram in their children upbringing. And their children can do no wrong; it is the lecturer or the college is the one who is in the wrong, abusing their children. After all, they pay to come to the institution.
My colleague and I were discussing the above issue this morning. I told her that I am concerned because we are growing old. One day, these students with this kind of attitude will take over the country and I wonder I will be taken care of at my old age...but I do see rays of hope in our MARA scholars...Insy-Allah.
My opinion is as follows:

Religious upbringing makes the difference. Many modern Chinese families don't really stress much on religion teachings.

Ancient Chinese were very well mannered due to strong Confucianism background but modern Chinese completely abandoned Confucianism(since early twentieth century) and they have nothing(or money) to fill in the blank and here's the result.

If you study the Peranakan, you'll find Peranakan are generally very well mannered because they still retain some of Confucianism rituals and rites.

National Language and Nationalism

Some Nationalism Fanatics always blindly support the idea of "citizen must be able to speak the national language at a very proficiency level".

Let me share with you some of my thoughts on this matter.

National language is a product of Nationalism, and Nationalism was a weapon to get rid of colonized powers. Now the colonized power has long gone. We are living in a globalization era now.

Not being able to speak the language of the majority does not mean someone is not qualified to become a citizen. Nationalism supporters always reject the idea of multi-languages and multi-culturals, such rejection is very unjust. It is unjust because they're asking the minorities to be proficient at the language of the majority. I don't think everyone will support any unjust action.

You don't use "Patriotism" to force the minorities to pick up the language of the majority. If the minorities are learning the language of the majority, certainly it is always because they want their lives to be more convenient when interacting with the majority, not because they are forced to show their "loyalty to the country". Ultimately, we're not living in a Fascist nation.

During "Zaman Kesultanan Melaka", the government did not make Bahasa "National language", and yet Bahasa still became the "Lingua Franca" in this region. Anyway, if you were living in Melaka that time, everyday you could hear more than 50 different languages spoken in the town.

The conclusion is, the more open a country is, the more the country's prospers. That's the secret of the "Zaman Kegemilangan Kesultanan Melaka". There's no reason for Nationalism supporters to go for the narrow approach. After all, these people also want to see a better Malaysia, right?

Response to Marina Mahathir's article(Diversity begins at school) on TheStar

This is the original article - Diversity begins at school

As for myself, i had not much chance to get in touch with other races during my childhood time until I grad from university.

But, I am a curious type of guy, so since young I have been reading books on different religions, I read the story of Islam ever since I was in primary school. So now I don't really have problem with people coming from different religion backgrounds.

The key is, you don't know someone, that is fine. But you don't make assumption or create stereotype on people just because you don't know.

What is the spirit of science? Don't conclude based on assumption. Do experiment to find out the truth.

As time goes by, my understanding on other religions are getting better & better. I participated in Chinese Temple procession, I participated in Christian Church's activities, I even get to participate in a few Hindu rituals and learn from a Hindu Guru.

I learnt about western philosophies as well. These ppl are real good in using human rational mind to come out with some wonderful conclusion. One such example is Ontology.

Before I enter any temple, I will always wash my face, hand and feet like what every muslim does before entering mosque. To me, there's a reason behind it, which is to get rid of any bad Qi(energy) that is attached to our body so that we will not bring the Qi to the sacred place.

The way I pray to Buddhist's Bodhisattva is almost the same as how muslim does his/her solat. Anyway I did not invent this way, it was sort of inherited.

My effort on trying to understand different religions (or philosophies) have helped me to realize one thing, that the core essence of all religions is always about Spiritual Growth of Human Being. Rituals and doctrines are just meant to be tools to help boost the faith in God which eventually helps in our spiritual growth. One can always choose a tool that is most suitable for himself/herself. How to examine the result? Very easy, just look at how you react towards unpleasant situations or words or whatever. From there, you will know your progress.

When we have attained certain spiritual level via our religion spiritual practices, we will be able to experience God's consciousness.

And I also found out that, throughout the development of each and every religion, each religion was greatly influencing each other.

As of now, you ask me what my religion is, my religion is God. And how do I strengthen my faith in God? I learn from Confucianism's sacred books.

So you see, it is one person's will whether he/she would love to explore other cultures or religions. It should be by any kind of force.Every parent just need to educate their children, there are many things in the world which seem alien to us, but we don't think bad about these, we have to know em into detail first before we make any bad assumption. And parent must always not kill their children's' curiosity. Curiosity is the one that motivate us to become someone better.

My response to Zaid Ibrahim's view on national language as a key to unite Malaysians

(Picture taken from the Internet)

The post is here http://www.therakyatpost.com/news/2015/03/12/kids-should-mix-freely-to-bridge-racial-gap/

Zaid's opinion is still old and outdated. Indonesian Chinese were banned from speaking their mother tongue since 1960s. Yet they were massacred in 1998. It is very obvious that language is not the major concern of racism.

You learn language for convenience, not because to show your "patriotism". The latter is so bullshit. It is a poisonous product of Nationalism which is so outdated because the colonized power has long gone and some people still want to stick with this.

To counter Racism, you should question whether you teach your child to learn to respect "different opinions or different ways or different living styles". Do you see others are also human as you? Do you see other religions are as equally holy and TRUE as yours?

You can go on remain don't bother to understand people who are different than you, you can go on live in your own circle of same race because that is your freedom, nothing wrong about that, but you should not tease, discriminate or bully people just because they are different than you.

Most most most importantly, no race based policy should be introduced at government's level. This is the root for all the feud that are happening today.

Malaysia was British's Malaya. British gave us independence because they were under serious threat from the Communist Party. Otherwise you think why British would let us go so easily and so peacefully? And one thing for sure that our forefathers proved to British that ALL races wanted independence. UMNO alone wasn't enough to convince British to approve independence. So this is how it happened. All races back then had contributed much to our independence.

Our political system , admin system, all the infrastructure, and even the race proportions are the legacy of British , not from all the state kingdoms.

Also, please go n check the year 191x Currency Note that was printed by then Johor Kingdom. It's even got Chinese character printed on the it. Another thing to note is that Johor Sultan even formed Sistem Kangcu to get Chinese immigrants to develop Johor's agriculture. Malay back then was so open and confident. They did not request for any help from the government.

After our independence, our economy was still very much in the hand of foreigners. The statistics are available in many books, including Syed Ali Hussein's "The Future of Malay". Therefore, it is ridiculous for someone to think that Chinese was controlling Malaya's economy since independence. The biggest cake for sure reserved for the people from the Queen's land .

Malaysia government only managed to buy over all the foreign assets decades later, after the government earned much from the crude oil business. Now it's the GLCs that are controlling our economy. Most of the employees in GLCs are Malays. All the so called Chinese tycoons nowadays have to "cari makan" in oversea. It is naive for someone to think that these Chinese tycoons have chance to expand their wealth here without UMNO's intervention?

As for majority Chinese who are definitely not tycoons, they have been sacrificing a lot of their time to make their living. They dare not have so many children because they have to spend much effort in accumulating more wealth for their descendants. So there is a price to pay. As a comparison, most of the young Malay family usually want to have at least 4 kids, some even want more. Imagine the heavy expense to sustain so many mouth, it makes sense that it is more difficult for Malay family to accumulate wealth. The logic is very simple. This is very basic financial planning knowledge. Perhaps this is not a problem for people who always hope government can do anything for them whenever they're in need.

Also, some people think that Chinese were massacred in Indon because they were controlling the national wealth so the BN goverment was doing the right thing to implement "NEP". My advice to these people are, please do not think your bros and sis are "natural born killers" like those Indons. Even you yourself like killings does not mean they like too. To kill out of jealousy is inhuman and it's Haram in every religion. If you believe to kill the rich is something right, you are no different than those Indon beasts, who portrayed very very wrong image of your religion to the world.

In short, nationalists don't really care for the good for people. Nationalists only want to fulfill their ego that is shaped from the illusion that if someone from their race succeeded, they can share the glory just because they belong to the same race. This is funny, they don't even have contribution to the someone's journey of success. Don't they remember that every glory does not belong to us, but belongs to God?

Chinese early settlers did not invade this land by force, it's all the western powers that killed all the natives here. And now what? These nationalists want Chinese descendants to become as close as their own race, they want their descendants to play unfair game just for their races to catch up. Looks like this will make them happier. This type of "happiness" is all coming from their ego. I wonder if God still has a place in their heart?

I urge all these nationalists to stop being blinded by Nationalism ideology. Let me repeat, Nationalism ideology was meant to be the weapon to fight the colonized power. Your enemy has long gone. Hence the Nationalism mindset should be gone too. This ideology did not even exist only until like 100+ yrs ago. Today we are already in information era. People are talking about Globalism and Pluralism now.

Kitchen Delight @ Bukit Piatu Melaka

I have written about this some time ago. In Chinese.

http://amadeusbv.blogspot.com/2013/08/kitchen-delightchicken-delight.html

It used to be located at Bukit Baru, just next to a hotel. The name was Chicken Delight. The restaurant's design and operating way is very much like a "fast food" type. My Melaka friend is the one who brought me there. Since then this place has become my all time favorite each time I dropped by Melaka.

When I was still saying in Kulai, I travelled between Kulai and Segamat weekly. If I travelled from Kulai back to Segamat, I usually took the highway between Kulai and Yong Peng.

Sometimes I prefer to take the "Federal Route" as an alternative to the Highway because I wanted to enjoy the fun of passing different small towns along journey home.

One day as I was passing by a small town - Kelapa Sawit, I saw a fast-food like restaurant with the name "Chicken Delight". I thought this might be the branch of the one in Melaka. So I decided to have my lunch there.

The menu of this restaurant is so different than the one in Melaka. I ordered some but I cannot remember what did I order and whether the food tastes good.

Back to Kitchen Delight, the chicken here is always so tender and juicy. My favorite meal here is Nasi Lemak with Fried Chicken or Snack Plate. I have tried other meals like Claypot Chiken Rice and it is also delicious.

Recently I dropped by Melaka again and had my lunch at Kitchen Delights. This time I tried something different. Nasi Goreng(Fried Rice) Kampung with Fried Chicken Wing and traditional Hokkien famous dish - Mee Hoon Ker Soup. For drink I ordered Papaya Milk which is recommended in the menu. Food wise the quality maintains. Though the price of the Kampung Style Fried Rice is quite expensive.

Very satisfying lunch.

Ads: 1/3 men suffer from Prejaculation

That day I saw this advertisement in one clinic, saying that 1/3 men suffer from pr-ejaculation. I am sure these guys are pretty much depressed. Both of themselves and their sex couples are not able to enjoy Great Sex due to this.

Just few weeks ago, I have written that I have discovered a technique that allows a man to "Last Longer in Bed". I discovered that from my Spiritual Practice experience. If you know to read Chinese, you can read it here http://amadeusbv.blogspot.com/2014/12/the-way-to-long-lasting-penetration.html

What I have achieved so far is the significant increase in the numbers of times of "Penetration". Can be up to at least 400-500 times. Sometimes I just feel the pain of my Penis/Dick/Cock because of the "High Frequency Penetration". So Long-Lasting is not really a good thing also. You must remain "Moderate".

I plan to share my Long-Lasting in Bed tips with you , in exchange of money. Price is negotiable. I may even share with you for FREE if your condition is really bad and your marriage is affected by this. I am charging this because this is my Intellectual Property.

If you are keen. Just leave your comment here, or send me an email at amadeus.low@gmail.com

Why some Chinese Malaysian don't speak BM fluently

We use language for our convenience (and mother tongue is for us to know our root). Knowing as many languages as possible is confirmed beneficial to everyone. Everyone knows about this and acknowledges this. Unfortunately it is always not easy to pick up a new language because everyone has different language learning ability.

Things have turned bad when a language is being used as a National Symbol. And this is not going to help. Let me take one closest example, during the era of Kesultanan Melaka, Bahasa became the "Lingua Franca" in this region naturally, not because it was granted the status as "Bahasa Kebangsaan" then only it became the Lingua Franca.

The sense of patriotism is not really important because what matters most is YOUR life journey. As I understand, the concept of Nationalism is even not encouraged in some religions such as Islam because such concept can be manipulated to oppress a certain group of people. Nationalism is a  young thing. It was used to "unite people" to fight the colonized power. Now the colonized power has gone, the spirit of nationalism is gone as well.

Malaysia has been progressing very well since independence because we are a country of multi-cultural, multi-religions and multi-languages (Of course all this while some Nationalist don't really like this and they are still trying to change the face of Malaysia). Among all ASEAN countries, we are only behind Singapore. Those "One language" nations such as Indonesia were stuck in deep shite for many decades due to their "mono" policy. Fortunately their newer leaders saw the importance of "pluralism" and hence lifted all the barbaric language-ban policy (Indonesia President Gus Dur abandoned the Chinese language ban), and since then these nations started growing fast and now they are even chasing us. Now the Chinese education in Indonesia is growing very fast. There is even a University in Thailand that uses Chinese as the teaching medium.

Some Chinese do not speak good Bahasa simply because they have no chance to practice it after graduated from secondary schools. For those Chinese who managed to work in Government or GLCs, where Bahasa is the primary work language, they can speak very good Bahasa because they are using the language daily. The thing is not many Chinese get to join Government and GLCs as most of the positions are reserved for Bumiputra only.

Therefore a lot of Chinese have to "cari makan" in the private sectors. And everybody knows that English is the primary work language in the private sectors. To the Malays, it is not a problem for them to work in private sectors because their mother tongue is Bahasa. They still have much chance to use Bahasa in their daily lives.

To increase the importance of Bahasa, Bahasa has to first become a "knowledge language". Books published in Bahasa should cover many areas such as modern science, western philosophies, eastern religions, new age beliefs, personal development and etc, don't just cover Islam only. Bahasa readers must be able to find books or articles written in Bahasa in their area of interest. Of course this is for long term, the ultimate goal is to replace English as the primary work language in private sectors. English is nobody's mother tongue here in Malaysia.

Today, all types of schools in Malaysia are already forced by the government to make Bahasa Malaysia a compulsory subject. What needs to be done is to revise the course content and the teaching methods. Conversation skill should be emphasized rather than reading/writing skill, because conversation sounds more useful to students when they enter the society. We don't need to increase the number of hours to teach BM, we only need to change the way of teaching and improve the the content.

Also, for Malaysians whose mother tongue is not BM (including Iban, Kadazan, etc). BM should be taught as "Second Language" . The "Second Language" concept is not something new in the Teaching Profession, it has been widely researched and has been implemented in many countries.

Let Religion Unite, Not Divide

Let me tell you how all religions can be "united".

The true spirit of religion is not about all the doctrines, but the spiritual way to be One with the Creator.

The true spirit of religion is not about how many comrades you have? Or how many of your comrades have betrayed you. It is not a game. What matters most is YOU do not lose faith in God up to the extent that even when the world only has only 1 follower left, which is yourself, you FAITH still persists. Just look at Buddha, Jesus and Muhammad (SAW) , they started with zero follower yet they did not care, they just did what they needed to do.

When i look at different religions, including Confucianism which is traditionally not regarded as a religion, I find the beauty in each of the religion is the "way to be One with the Creator", and as a religion follower, you can do that via different ways of meditation such as the Buddhist way, the Islam way (Sufi whirling and etc), the Christian way and etc. There are so many ways. If you practice, each of it can help in your spiritual growth.

When we ignore all the religion doctrines, such as what you can do, what you cannot do, what you can eat, what you cannot eat and straight go to the method to be One with God, we will realize that there is actually no religion at all, there is only the Creator. The Creator is so near to us and we will feel religions become so minimal, sacred books become so insignificant.

A lot of religion followers read their sacred books without the right mindset. You have to first practice the ways to be One with God , then only you start reading the sacred books. This is the right sequence. By then you will have a better understanding on the content of the sacred books. This is a very scientific and rational way, which is to prove what you have learned and realize it by yourself. You do not just believe blindly in everything being told or taught.

This is the way for all religions to be One. Believe in the Creator, don't emphasize the religion(doctrines).

To end this article, religions are created by followers. Sacred books are written by followers. Prophets or Gurus never really created religions. They only passed down valuable teachings as well as the Divine Message from The Creator. Religions were created to fulfill the followers' need, especially when their Spiritual Gurus are already not around. Religions were not created for the need of Prophets, Messengers or Gurus.

My comment on the article "Why I am not a Buddhist"

I came across this article via Projek Dialog.

I quite like Projek Dialog because this group of people always raise a lot of questions to Malaysians that help promote a kind of "rational" thinking.

Of course for people who don't like the idea, they will condemn Projek Dialog as anti-this or anti-that. But I believe to anti something is never the intention of Projek Dialog. As the name of the group tells, it is supposed to be a "Dialog". You express your sincere opinion without the fear from being sued or arrested. Of course you don't attack individual in a dialog.

Back to the article. Here is the original article. The following is my comment on this.

My first comment is:

What the author wrote is quite correct.

But to prove d existence of Karma and Reincarnation, is as hard as to prove the existence of God. It's either you believe it or not.

Buddhism, like other religions, had evolved into different schools. You can see a lot of influences from other religions in Buddhism. This happened to all religions in the world as well.

The most unfortunate thing that happened to religions is , they got "doctrininated" and their face not longer look d same as the first time they were introduced to d world.

My second comment is:

Buddha is not God. Buddha simply means "the one who is enlightened".

Gautama Buddha said that everyone can become a Buddha, either via his teachings, or via other methods.

Gautama Buddha never deny the existence of God. He just did not mention it. The reason is simple, what is left for Gautama Buddha to talk about when God is simply beyond human cognition?

In my definition, to become a Buddha also means "to be together with God", which is referring to a state of consciousness.

In history, lots of sages from every corner of the world managed to reach that state, via different methods.

As far as I know, in Islam, the Sufis have methods to get one to experience the state of God's consciousness also.
My conclusion is:

In my opinion, you, as a human, is responsible for your own spiritual growth. You should explore around to look for the right teachings that suit your spritual needs. There is no so called the right religion or the wrong religion. When a religion become an organization rather than a teaching center, my advice is try to focus on how to grow your spirituality than doing all the 'religion-politic' nonsense.

Language or Race as job's criteria: Not a big deal isn't it?

Some time ago, some people in this country complaint about some "Chinese" companies are RACIST because their jobs demand the candidate to be able to converse in Mandarin or in other Chinese dialects. Logically these people are wrong. The companies were only asking for CANDIDATE WHO KNOWS TO SPEAK A PARTICULAR LANGUAGE. Why must these people associate a language with RACE? This is what I call PARANOID. I do not understand why these people fail to think RATIONALLY.

However, you may call a company RACIST if they only open their job opportunity to A PARTICULAR RACE only. Just like the picture below. The company is asking for LOCAL MALAY only, then yes this is a RACE criteria.

Anyway, I am not unhappy. I just accidentally found this. In fact I do not even think this is a big deal because this is not something that violates the law. People might condemn the company RACIST but in fact their job advertisement is compliant to the law. The company has 100% right to choose whoever they want to hire.

Ads: Local Second-hand Books Trading Site!

I get to know this site http://bookup.my/ recently. It is a online trading platform for 2nd books sellers/buyers with delivery service.

To be honest the concept is nothing new as I have seen some organizations running similar activity before in Petaling Jaya and Subang jaya. However this is the first time I get to know there is a local website that does this. Perhaps BookUp is really the first site that does this.

What is so special about this site? It's delivery service that makes the difference. If you are seller, BookUp will help deliver books to your buyers. First you have a platform to sell your books. Secondly you will have them to help deliver your books to the buyers. As a buyer, the books will be delivered to you just like the way you made any online transaction for any physical items.

What about shipment fee? The buyer will get FREE shipment from BookUp if the total purchase amount is over MYR50. Otherwise it will be a fair game, you buy a little only then you gotta pay for the shipment fee.

What about if your books are not sold for a long time. In fact you only have 6 month time. If your books are not sold within 6 months, you can choose to take the books back or give to BookUp for free.

James Nakason @ The Xtra Factor 2013

I met my friend James Nakason in year 2007. He shared with me a lot of his life stories including his hatreds towards the UMNO government and the Cheating Taxi Drivers. He also shared with me a lot of his meditation experience. To me he is really a very special guy. He's like living his life at the fullest.

He's always full of passion, he is especially very very passionate in singing. Last time I heard from him talking about wanting to become singer and I thought he was just daydreaming. Each time he sings he puts all his sentiment in his voice. The audience can feel his feeling via his voice without judging his singing skills. And this time he really flew to UK to take part in The Xtra Factor Singing Contest despite of him going through some financial difficulties. Although he did not pass the audition, at least he dare to go all out to try his luck. I completely salute his courage! James I hope you can continue to improve your singing skills and I'm looking forward to see you in another singing contest again.

James Boleh!

How to Improve our life?

This is another very good sharing. Please take note of this seriously.

Question: The purpose of learning all the meditation techniques or the power of now and so on, is to have "miracles" in our life? So that there will always be "sunshine" forever. If there is rain, it will not be "cats and dogs" but just "drizzling" only.

 Answer: Perfect

 ~ Sri Kriyathasa Sekar

All about LIFE

I would like to share with you what is life & how can you keep a good life. The following is a question I raised to my Guru.

Dear Sekar,
I am a frequent visitor to fortune tellers. I visited at least 3 fortune tellers in the past. They told me what is my personality and some important life events for myself. So far their "computation" results are quite accurate except for a few items.
At the same time I also listen to your Life Coachings, T-rex sharings on life, some other ppl sharings on life and I did some readings also.
Last year I have consulted a fortune teller to read my 'Luck' for this year. I jotted down his reading. Recently I read back what I have jotted down. I realized his computation result is rather inconsistent.
Therefore I have had some "realization". I want to share them. Much appreciate if you can provide your opinion. Thanks.
The following are my "realization":
1) Our life is full of all kinds of possibilities.
2) Without believing in the Divine, our life might end up as described in our Astrology Birth Chart.
3) With the help from Vasthu Sastra or Feng Shui or Number (e.g Visiber) or some other tools, our life could be much better than the life in our Astrology Birth Chart.
4) If we surrender ourselves fully to the Divine (by following the right practices as taught by 7C or by other spiritual masters) ,  our life will always be better than the life in our Astrology Birth Chart.
Thank you.

Here's the reply from my Guru

Hi,
Thank you for asking these questions.
You are right in your understanding but with one difference, the astrological sign are not wrong if the reading is done by an expert.
Lets talk about life:
1. Life is all about experiences and going through that learning process. This process has to give the bad experiences, so we will know what to avoid in the future and also the good experiences so we will know what to look forward to.
2. If you don't do anything, then nothing bad or good will happen to you. This is the same as for the people who say I never seen the rain or sun because I stay in my house always. To them, life is fine, but they don't have any life experiences at all. Life has no meaning or purpose at all.
3. Astrological charts/reading are like the weather forecast, it is just a guide. We read it or listen to it because we want to know what is ahead of us, not for us to fear  about it but to manage it.
4. The life coaching that we give you, is to teach you how to manage this and understand this. We teache you to understand what is the purpose of the rain and sun. What are the effects of the rain and the benefits of the sun or vice versa.
That's the teaching we share. So you know how to manage the situation and also to grab the right opportunity for the right purpose.
5. Accept that this is part of nature and whatever you do, there will always be rain and sun out there always. This is the acceptance and surrender.
6. The most important thing happens next, your effort. This is where you take your experience, your guides and your understanding of purpose (acceptance and surrender) and combine them all.
This combination is called wisdom. You use this wisdom to be above all this and succeed. Wisdom simply teaches you to get an umbrella when you go out, not always but whenever you know it is appropriate. These are the successful people. Be here.
I hope I have explained it well. If not we can always discuss this in the sessions.
Thank you.

Yet another 4 year cycle

Time flies. There goes my 4-year again.

4 years back. I was assigned by my company to a local tel-co client. I joined the Enterprise Service Bus team there, where all team members belong to the same company as mine.

I remember i only had 2 days to take over one existing Java Standalone Program, also an "adapter" to the client's back end system. The program owner is a Filipino and he had to fly back to The Philippines two days later. The project phase then was System Integration Test (SIT).

So i spent 2 days with my Filipino colleague for the Knowledge Transfer session. Back then my Java knowledge was not really solid so it was kind of difficult for me. My previous experience was more on web application rather than standalone program. And I had to deal with web services(SOAP/HTML), API (to talk to the back end system), Message Queue and etc. Nowadays i think those stuff are easy but during the first week that I got to learn all these I just felt these were so challenging.

What was my mood back then? I took it easy. I still left office before 8pm. I was telling myself I should not again force myself to work till late nights, like what I did in my first company. One should be willing to work late night that the work result will only be good, that is my realization so far after working for many years.

After my Filipino colleague left, for every SIT issue, the client person in charge would look for me, as i was the successor for the program. They were disappointed that i could not commit to solve every SIT issue within a day. And they sent an email to my boss that they complaint I was not the suitable candidate to take over the program. My boss was kind. He is a very understanding one. He stepped in and helped me to resolve some critical issues. I really wanted to thank him. Till today I still remember his help. I know some people do not really like his working style but that does not affect my gratitude towards him.

Finally the program went live. I enjoyed every moment installing the the prerequisite software for the program to the production server, with root access. I enjoyed deploy the program to the production server with the help from deployment team. I enjoyed working from home for a few days continuously to troubleshoot the production issues of the program. That was really tiring but it was fun as well.

Few weeks later, my company managed to sign a Out Source deal with this client. That means my company will run the client's IT services from infrastructure to every services & systems. That was really a big deal to my company. The deal created a lot of job opportunities. Anyway the contract ended just last month.

So once Out Source deal was signed, my boss moved on to join one of the projects. Subsequently our team changed 3 bosses in one year time. LOL. I remember there was this boss. He has a poker face. He looks a really strict guy. I was kind of worry knowing he was going to be my boss. In fact, he turned up to be quite a good boss to me. He knows how to reject all unnecessary projects. He knows how to prioritize projects for us. I really appreciate his help during his term.

Soon another boss has come to join us. And with his presence our team had turned into Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) team. Actually what changed is just the name of the team and the service methodology.
This boss stayed with us until last month. He is really a good one. All team members really appreciate his guidance. As for myself, i also appreciate much the trust and freedom he has given to me. I can actually conclude that he is the best superior i ever had. His existence is part of the important process of my life, indirectly, but very important.

What interesting is, I have this good friend, an ex-colleague, joined in the same team as me! He started off in another team after the Out Source deal. Then because he was playing with some integration product, due to the nature of work, he finally joined the SOA team. I actually never expected that both of us would end up working in the same team again. He is a special one in my life. He has been introducing a lot of personal improvement stuff to me. He led to to another meditation teacher. I really owe him a lot a lot. I will not mention all the stories here because it will be very lengthy. Ha ha ha.

Few months after SOA team was setup. I became a module lead. I was leading a team working on the java module. Team members came and left. When our company left the client, i had 2 team members left. In the beginning, it was a bit challenging for me to duplicate my experience and knowledge to them because at the same time i was rushing for projects. Fortunately they are very eager to learn about the module. I just needed to spend like 2 or 3 months to coach them and then one of them eventually was taking almost all the works while i just hid behind and provided necessary support to her. I really really appreciate her help in this. She is a good team member.Of course, I have to thank the rest also for their effort. With their help, I managed to get away from getting calls every minute every second. Imagine I once had to entertain calls almost every night or during dinner time. My dinner mate was there to "testify" this. Ha ha.

It was a meaningful 4 years. Not only at job. But in my life as well. I met one senior citizen who actually shared with me a lot of concepts, a lot of knowledge and a lot of interesting stuff. Other than the friend I mentioned earlier, I owe this senior citizen friend a lot a lot too. Of course over the 4 years I managed to get together with all my university mates. We all had crazy memories during our university life. One of them was my daily dinner mate. So in KL, we talked about a lot of craps LOL everyday. We played FIFA in cybercafe and I really enjoyed all the games. We watched a lot of movies and spent much time crap about the movies also.

So, that's my 4 years in KL. It is like dream. What left is only memories. And I forget to mention I almost lost my life 4 years ago in a severe car accident. Just one week before I started my new job. On my trip back to hometown from KL, my car hit the divider of the expressway. Thank divine, thank divine that I managed to survive. Only this year one medium told me that It was the amulet that saved me from the accident. Life is really full of surprise. And now I have come to one crossroad that if I am courageous enough to LIVE MY DREAM.

Presence of the 'Divine Light'

One night, lying on bed, i was in a semi sleeping mode.

Out of sudden, i felt brightness on top of my head. It was accompanied by a warm sensation.

It's Light. A light which resembles sun light.

I was full of doubts, then I quickily opened my eyes. There was nothing but darkness. Everything was normal.

Days after, i got to know from my Guru that, that's the Divine

Thank You Divine for showing me your Presence!

Something about Feng Shui

According to my Chief Feng Shui Specialist, there are 2 types of Feng Shui - The Personal Feng Shui & the Environment Feng Shui

Kyron's opinion on Feng Shui as follow:

This is a good question, for it shows how linear the thinking is. Here’s a simple answer. Even without any of the movement of chi/Qi(氣、炁) , your co-creative energy as a Human Being will work. However, if you then decide not to isolate yourself, and instead use the energy of the earth as your partner, then everything you’re doing will be enhanced...

All this is to say that these energy systems are like the conveyor belts you walk on in your municipal areas.
You can walk at your own speed, or walk on the conveyor. Both actions will get you where you’re going, but one will enhance your travel and get you there faster.

Practicing the Power Of Now

Last month i attended 4 classes of practicing the Power of Now. The only study material is the book written by Ekhart Tolle "Practicing the Power of Now". In each class we were listening to the recording of Tolle's speech.

The concept is too philosophical and the following summary is all based on my understanding.

1) The PRESENT is all what we have. We shall always focus on the PRESENT instead of the past and the future. Past has passed, and the future is not 'TRUE'. Throw away all the worries. They are so unnecessary and we will realize that there is actually nothing to worry at this moment. It is our 'MIND' that actually controls us by creating all the worries.

2) Once we are at the PRESENT, we will start appreciating what we have now and there will be the feeling of JOY rising  from within our soul (a.k.a higher-self).

3) Law of Attraction is so true. It will work when we enter the TIMELESS & SPACELESS zone. To enter the TIMELESS and SPACELESS zone we have to be PRESENT.

4) You still set your intention and send your wish to the Universe(Divine, God). However, to manifest your intention, do not ever get yourself into the TIME-SPACE trap. Just be PRESENT. Do detach yourself from the feeling of "wanting the intention to arrive in as soon as possible", else just forget about your intention. Your intention will come without you knowing it has come, without you defining how it shall come!

Feel free to post your questions to me. I will try my best to answer your questions. If i do not know the answer i shall seek advice from my Guru. Thanks.
